Here’s the insides of the clock. The main black board is the led array. Mounted on top is (from left to right) custom FM receiver and RDS demodulator, class D digital audio amp, cortex M3 ARM CPU.

I decided not to make the synth, since there’s so much good stuff coming out on the iPad. So I took the bits, added a fm receiver, and made a new alarm clock.

Looks great, and does exactly what I want it to. Nice gentle wake up sequence.. Gets time from rds.

Only problem is that if there are any bugs then I’ll be late for work

Hardware Digital Analogue Hybrid Synth

Just about to start initial work on my next project – a proper synthesizer which will hopefully combine the reliability and flexibility of digital, but combined with rich sounding analogue stages. This will be a mix of ARM, FPGA, analogue design and woodwork!

I suspect this is going to be an epic project in more ways than one!

Where Was I is now in the Ovi Store (http://store.ovi.com/content/103031) and is getting around 300 downloads a day and 5 star reviews. Not bad for a quick weekend project!

Whilst Beerfinder slowly makes its way into the Ovi store, I’ve started work on my next little project. Based upon the same navigation code as BeerFinder, but with a photo-realistic GUI – WhereWasI lets you easily find any stored position.

I’ve tried to make it look like the sort of thing they would use in the A-Team – to the point that I kind of want to build a real one just for the hell of it!

Just started work on the next version. This will include various bug fixes, tidy up the user interface a bit, and more options on the MIDI sync section.

Deluded Software, Relaunch Version 1.00

Deluded Software is now finally alive, with Relaunch being the main product.

Relaunch Final Beta almost live..

Relaunch code is complete – V0.99 of Windows and Mac versions will go live in a day or so. All desired features have been added, and all known bugs have been fixed.

After a short period of public testing, V1.00 will be released with any required bug fixes.

Because of the delay, I’ve decided to add a personal license option for those who don’t need a commercial license, but do want MIDI sync. This will be available for £10.

Licensing will be available at the time of release, and any V0.99 licenses will of course be valid for V1.00.
